FEBRUARY

Hi, Kelly Gaulton, who was 13 on the 25th, I’m sorry I missed out your name in the last edition, but Happy Belated birthday to you.

MARCH

On the 8th Heather, Paul and Catherine said Happy Birthday to Geoff Rickards and on the 15th Les Liddiatt celebrated his 65th with a card to Grandad from Chloe, Robert, Katie and Amie. The same day Ron Latham asked for the flag to be flown for Grace Latham’s  94th Birthday (which was on the 3rd.) “I didn’t forget her birthday – only to fly the flag” said Ron. It flew again on the 19th for Pete Duffell who was 65, and was wished Happy Birthday by John and Marion.

St Peter’s Special Choir had the flag flown on Easter Day “for all the wonderful music you perform” after Dianne and Doug were moved by their performance of The Crucifixion during Holy Week. The 26th was the 80th birthday of Audrey Green and there were greetings from all of the Hooper Clan, Dudley, Brenda, Pat, Ken and Vera.

On the 25th, in Perth, W. Australia, Liam Bird was born to Triston and Jodee. Marie and Don sent Congratulations from “All the Bird’s in the UK” and another newcomer was Jayden John Hogan, also on the 25th and “Fondest love” was sent from Mum, Jeff, Carly and Matthew (and Max the dog) to proud parents John and Victoria. On the 31st Perce, Pam, Kev and families all remembered with affection Connie Locke a “special wife and Mum”

APRIL

Up went the flag on the 4th for Robert Andrews 50th birthday, with love from Georgie and Sophie, and next day, 5th, it was up again for Robert and Georgie’s 5th Wedding Anniversary. They shared the pole with Jenny Peters for her birthday, and for the Thomas Family (of which Frances Barr is a member) as they met for a big reunion in Ivybridge

MAY

We flew the flag on the20th for the staff and residents at Abbeyfield. It was the day of the funeral for their friend Dawn Lewis.

JUNE

The 2nd was the 2nd birthday of Sophie Andrews. Mummy and Daddy had the flag flown with lots of love, and I expect Sophie saw it from her window. Happy Birthday. It was the turn of Nicholas Hewitt who was 10 on the 5th.Nan and Grampy wished him Happy Birthday. Christine Humphries had her 65th birthday on the 7th. Husband Norman, and all the family sent their love. Gordon, Cath, Paul and Sandra sent their best Wishes and love to Brenda Heddington on her 80th birthday, the 9th. Grace never forgot husband Ron Latham’s 94th birthday on the 17th. She sent him all her love and we all wish him Happy Birthday. A lady with a very unusual name celebrated her 80th birthday on the 21st. She is Comfortable Jefferies known to everyone as “Comfy”. Victoria Hogan got the “Key of the door”, 21, on the 25th Peggy, George, Melanie, and John, Carol and Duncan wished her Happy Birthday. Then again on the 25th Peggy, George and Melanie wished Frank Ball a Happy 80th Birthday.

Flying the Flag at St. Peter’s not only gets you a mention in this magazine that the whole village can share in, it also gets the recipient a special card in which you can have whatever greeting your wish.  The charge is £5.00, which helps to keep our choirs and church music ‘live’.  Call me on 01454 632670 or write or call at 21 Chessell Avenue, Pilning, South Glos. BS35 4LP.  It is never too late, I will do my best, however short the notice!
