PILNING 30th CARNIVAL

SATURDAY JUNE 21ST

At the time of writing we have completed all the planning for this years Carnival, just the loose ends to tie up.

If there are any ex Carnival Queens out there who have not been contacted and want to join the float please contact myself asap.

Sadly and with regret we have to inform you that this is the last Carnival under the existing committee, we have struggled for the last couple of years, but have kept going despite no new volunteers coming forward, we are no longer prepared to carry on with such a small team, it has become impossible. If anyone out there wants to start a new committee and keep Carnival going we can offer advice and all our contacts.  Let’s hope that the 30th is not the last.

The procession will leave the Kings Arms at 1.30pm as per normal, and all the usual entertainment will be available during the day. To celebrate 30 years of Carnival our band on the evening are ‘FAB 208’, a 70’s tribute band, so if you are in the mood feel free to dress for the occasion and join us from 7pm for the evening celebrations.

In closing, the present and past committee members would like to thank all the villagers who have turned out and supported us over the years and even more special thanks to all those who have donated time, resources and gone beyond the call of duty to keep Carnival going this long.

There must be somebody out there?..............................................
